Forestification at COP28: Planting Hope Across Continents

Forestification proudly participated in COP28, transforming climate commitments into action through tree planting initiatives across the globe.

From the deserts of Abu Dhabi and Dubai to the lush landscapes of Sri Lanka, the historic hills of Greece, and the vibrant terrains of India, our mission remained clear: Unite for a Greener Planet.

This global planting initiative symbolized hope, sustainability, and the urgent call of COP28 to restore ecosystems and heal our Earth. Every tree planted represents a step towards a healthier, more resilient future for generations to come.

Together, we are not just planting trees—we are growing a legacy of environmental responsibility and global collaboration.

Forestification – World Environment Day 2025 | Celebrating 5 Years of Green Legacy

On World Environment Day 2025, Forestification proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone—five years of restoring nature, inspiring communities, and creating living legacies through trees.

This year also marks the completion of our very first Forestification project in Kerala, the place where our journey began. What started as a simple vision has grown into a movement dedicated to transforming spaces into thriving ecosystems.

In a symbolic act of gratitude and hope, we planted 2,020 trees, including herbal species and bamboos, using the Miyawaki method to establish a dense, self-sustaining native forest. But this project carries a story that is deeply personal.

It began at home.

The tiled areas and parking spaces around our residence were removed and replaced with a flourishing mini-forest. Today, a beautiful bamboo bridge welcomes visitors into our home through nature instead of concrete, reflecting our belief that environmental responsibility starts with the choices we make in our own lives.

As part of this year's Environment Day observance, we also paid tribute to the cherished members of our community who are no longer with us. Trees were planted in their memory—living monuments that will continue to grow, breathe, and protect the Earth for generations to come.

Each tree planted represents love, remembrance, hope, and a commitment to continue nurturing the planet they cared for so deeply. Every leaf carries a story, and every root strengthens our shared future.

To everyone who has supported Forestification over the past five years—volunteers, partners, families, environmentalists, and community members—thank you for being part of this extraordinary journey.

Together, we have shown that forests can begin anywhere: in our homes, our neighborhoods, and our hearts.

Let us continue growing a greener world, one tree at a time.

Forestification: Planting forests. Preserving memories. Protecting the future.

A Greener Tomorrow Begins Today

Forestification is proud to announce the inauguration of its 100,000 Tree Planting Project in Kerala—a landmark environmental initiative dedicated to restoring biodiversity, improving air quality, and fostering a culture of sustainability across the state.

The project was officially inaugurated by Sri Simeesh Sahu, Tahsildar, who highlighted the importance of community participation and citizen-led environmental action in addressing today's climate challenges. The event was further enriched by the presence of the acclaimed actor of "Pallotti" fame, whose participation underscored the powerful connection between art, social responsibility, and nature conservation.

Through this ambitious initiative, Forestification, together with local communities, educational institutions, environmental volunteers, and eco-conscious citizens, aims to transform landscapes by reforesting degraded areas, reviving native plant species, and creating green spaces that support healthier and more resilient ecosystems.

Project Highlights

Planting 100,000 native trees across Kerala

Implementation across multiple districts

A community-driven and youth-led movement

Utilization of the Miyawaki Method alongside local partnerships

Promotion of environmental awareness and long-term stewardship

This is more than a tree-planting campaign—it is a movement to inspire collective action and build a sustainable future for generations to come.

As the project progresses, Forestification will continue to share updates on planting locations, milestones achieved, and opportunities for individuals and organizations to become part of this green mission.

Together, let us restore nature, strengthen communities, and create a legacy of hope.

Let's grow forests. Let's grow the future.

Private Forest Initiative | Forestification

Forestification is a vision where every piece of land can become a living, breathing forest. Through our Private Forest Initiative, we encourage individuals, families, and communities to transform their own spaces into sustainable green havens.

This initiative goes beyond planting trees. By introducing diverse native species and nurturing them with care, we restore ecological balance, support biodiversity, improve soil health, and create a lasting environmental legacy for future generations. A private forest is more than a collection of trees—it is hope, heritage, and a gift of life to the Earth.

In this inspiring effort, tree planting was carried out by Mr. Ibrahim Shalimar, Managing Director of Silver Storm, along with noted environmentalists Samuel, Mohandas, and Krishnan, whose dedication to conservation continues to motivate communities towards meaningful climate action.

Forestification believes that environmental responsibility begins at home. Every backyard, every village, and every community has the potential to become part of a global green revolution.

Imagine this: your land, your vision, your legacy—growing into a forest that will nurture life for generations to come.

Together, let us transform private spaces into thriving ecosystems and build a greener, healthier future—one forest at a time.
